Thinkspace is excited to present our debut solo exhibition with SUANJAYA KENCUT ‘I Trip Therefore I Am,’ in collaboration with League OTO. The jargon: “cogito ergo sum,” or “I think, therefore I am” is a famous phrase from René Descartes which reminds us of the importance of human existence as a thinking being.
The theme “I TRIP THEREFORE I AM,” meaning that by traveling, humans realize their true existence, whether alone, with humans, or with animals. Through a selection of his works, Suanjaya Kencut tries to reflect the human need for self-actualization with his surroundings and nature. With his signature character of landscape, Suanjaya also invites the public into a realistic picture approach in order to remind them of the importance of travel/trips around nature in the world.
