March 22 – 25 2023

Art Central (Booth A5), Hongkong

The 5th presentation of Lorin Gallery at the @artcentralhk exhibition features genre-bending works that incorporate unique and provocative visual elements, such as cartoons, street art, and emojis.

The gallery aims to diversify and vitalize contemporary arts by showcasing these works to a global audience and collectors. Japanese artist Suzuki will present her latest works completed in 2023, while poet-painter Christian Quintin will install a dreamy, lyrical representation using pastels and oil paintings. Willem Hoeffnagel, Socko, Vincent Arnold, and David Kaye use anthropomorphic figures to explore the expressive potential of modern-day symbols and icons, from cartoons to emojis. These works have become highly sought-after worldwide due to their complex emotional expression. Kencut incorporates Indonesian indigenous culture into his work, which can be viewed alongside Salome Rigvava’s personal interpretation of Pinocchio within the wider context of Georgian cultural phenomena.
