Re-Charge, a compilation of works conceived in a single contemplation to reach a personal turning point that one ought to be. In the process of making this solo exhibition, instead of looking around for inspiration, or a retrospective of a remarkable past experience, Suanjaya Kencut looked within himself at what had recently bedeviled him and some of his closest confidants and confidantes. Vacillated towards the chateau of expectation, physically and mentally forged without pause, until the question of “what” becomes a key to the salvation of the soul, in the midst of rhetorical questions occupying all thinking capabilities.

A shoulder to cry on, 150cm x 125cm, Acrylic on Canvas, 2024

Being human is inseparable from the necessities of life without exclusion and limitations. The unbalanced fulfillment of one’s own demands and one’s own capacity inevitably leads to unrestored fatigue. Pressure is a work that depicts the suffocation of the body of the mind that shook the emotions, the self-imposed oppression due to a multitude of things, and living in a world devoid of space for oneself. Burn Out: seems to push one away from all these oppressions, distorting the physiological and/or psychological state to such an extent that it forcibly deviates a person from their normal functionality. There is not much you can do as a person who is required to become a whole person in such a short period of time.

Homie, 150cm x 125cm, Acrylic on Canvas, 2024

Being alone and detached from the friction of  Move on is imperative so that you can have a two-way Monologue with yourself about what went awry and needs to be rectified, what is needed, and what needs to be done. Some basic questions that hopefully put out the flames of a problem that could have ravaged things.

Giving attention with Mindfulness to what is happening around, of what is felt in the present moment while accepting and acknowledging any thoughts, emotions, and physical feelings. When one already manifests a sense of recognition, Acceptance, and appreciation of one’s abilities and achievements including its limitations, this is a perfect time to talk to others and share concerns with people who can be A Shoulder to Cry on. How the feeling of serenity would come when sharing the story with the people closest to a Homie, who listened without any judgment, shared a smile shortly after sharing tears, so that the body, mind, and feelings could have Recovery without leaving any significant wounds as if one Feel the Sky.

There is nothing wrong with not being okay. Self-discovery, realizing your flaws, and imperfections, and accepting your differences are the key to self-liberation. Validating and not denying your feelings is a form of self-love.
